Farley’s Friday: Dog Sitting – Is it for you?

Farley here,

Kristina likes to dog sit, but I think she should ask me first.  Our neighbors have a 4 month  old Doodle, Moca, and he’s one crazy dog.

He comes over, jumps on my back, bites my face, and chases my tail. Yes, I meant that. He chases MY tail, not his.

Kristina distracted him for a minute, so I got to sniff him. But then it was back to hard playing.

Farley and Moca

I’m happy when we dog sit older dogs who like to go for a run, then lie around and relax in the dog bed. This puppy thing is a bit too crazy for me.

I know Kristina. If anyone asks her to dog sit, she’ll be happy to. She says it’s her way of having two dogs. Now why would she want two dogs when she has me? I can’t think of a single reason.

Woof Woof

    1. Hey Saangchai, It is malarky, but guess what. Humans have this thing they feel called guilt. Last night it was cold, and we left the window open. Kristina let me sleep in the bed for a while so I could warm up. I think it’s because she felt guilty about paying too much attention to Moca. I do have my won dog bed that’s pretty warm, but she doesn’t need to be reminded of that.

  1. This is funny, and hits home. Farley is a wise dog. We have a year-old female golden doodle and the “puppy” in her has not quieted down one iota! She gets regular visits from her older half-sister (shared poodle father). It’s a riot to watch them “interact.” I don’t know if it’s the breed or what, but poor Farley would need therapy after spending a couple of hours with those two! 🙂

      1. Her name is Zoey, her big sister (over two years old) is Brandy. Both remain big puppies! Cute, but nuts!. Okay, two years, huh? Zoey is a handful. Loves to play. A favorite game is to grab a shoe or sock and prance around the house with it, simply waiting to play keep away. Over and over again. She loves it. Last week my wife was outside working in the yard. Zoey was out, too, for exercise, etc. She rummaged through my wife’s tool bag, grabbed one of the $30 pair of her new leather work gloves and ate half the glove before the wife realized it was missing.
They are supposed to be a highly intelligent breed, very loving and loyal to the family. Well, Zoey is all that and much, much more! A loveable handful to say the least! 🙂
