Writing Without Interruption

My imagination works best if I give it time. #writetip Turning off airport, or whatever you use to access the internet, is a good step. No dings when an email arrives, no temptation to check twitter or facebook. I blog first thing in the morning, then cut myself off. If you can switch off your phone, that’s even better.

Now if only the dog didn’t need a walk, I could get to work.

  2. No interruption? What’s that? Sounds like heaven! How much could I get done with a single day! I did a writers group session from 9:00 to 3:00 once. It was great. No kids, no husband, no house. Just writers all together. I’d highly recommend it.

    1. Sometimes just telling those around you that you need two hours to yourself works. I try to take my writing seriously. If I was in an office, I’d have to sit down and work. At home, it’s too easy to be interrupted. Writing is important to me and it took me a while to understand that and be dedicated to it.
